Excel import and updates

This release includes a number of new features and improvements including a new Excel import function for plant lists.

You can now import data from spreadsheets and automatically match fields between the spreadsheet and the fields of the plant list. If the spreadsheet columns have different names you can map them to the plant list’s fields in the dialog shown here.

A new tool has been included for area and length / perimeter takeoffs.

This is a modeless dialog (it floats in the workspace) and as you make selections it displays the total values. It adds any object which has an area or a length, like hatches, splines, circles etc.

Also updated in this release is the Australian plant database, with amendments, corrections and refinements to plant data made by the Australian Plants Society (SA Region).

Other changes include revisions to the Landscape menu and improvements to the setup routine to ensure reliable installations for all platforms from a single file.
