Installation
Download and run the setup file for your platform.
Install from a user account or as an administrator (right-click the install file and run as administrator).
If installing an AutoCAD LT release and an earlier version is installed, make sure to start (and close) the latest version you want to run with PlantManager before commencing the setup. This is not required for AutoCAD or BricsCAD – all versions found on the system will be supported.
The target installation directory will default to a writable location (My Documents folder) for a user installation however other locations can be chosen.
Following installation, start AutoCAD® or BricsCAD.
If it’s a first-time installation, a new PlantManager ribbon and menu will load. A sample drawing can be opened if desired.
Reinstallation
If there’s an existing installation of PlantManager, reinstall it to the same directory. This approach should be taken if an update is being performed or if both AutoCAD® and BricsCAD are installed on the same system.
Uninstalling PlantManager
To uninstall, take the following steps.
- Type ’Menuload’ at the command prompt, select the ‘PlantMan’ item in the window and click the Unload button.
- Click the Uninstall PlantManager shortcut in the PlantManager folder within the Windows start menu (or Uninstall a Program from Control Panel).
Plant Data files installed with the software are located in the users roaming directory (ie. C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\PlantManager) and are not automatically removed. These will need to be manually deleted.
