Substitute

Plants and finishes in the drawing can be substituted for other list items using the following methods.

Substitute Symbols

This utility will substitute one symbol for another. The command works a little like the ‘Match Properties’ tool.

To start the command, type ‘trs’ (short for tree substitute) at the command prompt or click on the ‘Substitute Trees’ menu item on the ribbon.

Select a source block and then select any number of destination blocks.

The first selected destination block is used as a filter which ensures that only blocks matching that object will be included in the subsequent selection.

All objects must have been previously created by PlantManager.

Substitute Areas

To substitute a labelled plant area or finish for a different list item, select the desired target item (defined by an area) from the palette or main dialog and label the existing label.
