BricsCAD and AutoCAD LT
PlantManager now works with AutoCAD LT 2016 (also 2014 & 2015) with the help of CADSTA Max, another Australian based software developer.
All the features provided by PlantManager in full version AutoCAD are available in AutoCAD LT. Please drop me a line if you would like a free trial.
And just released (December 2) is a new version for BricsCAD V15. If you haven’t heard of BricsCAD, download a trial and check it out, it’s taking CAD in new directions and enjoys lots of 3rd party support for applications like PlantManager.
One of the more significant additions to PlantManager earlier in the year is the ability to include symbols or swatches representing different elements in the schedule.
The symbol size can be customised and any changes made in the drawing to a hatch style or block will be automatically updated in pre-existing schedules.
There have been a lot of other improvements under the hood including greater flexibility with schedules, palette and colour setting enhancements along with many bug fixes.
